Dennis Blasius – After 30 years with the federal government, including many years as the Director of  the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission’s (CPSC) Office of Compliance and Field Operations Investigations Division, Dennis started a consultancy working with manufacturers, importers and company leaders developing frameworks that support compliance and product safety.
At CPSC, Dennis was responsible for working with the CPSC’s Compliance, Epidemiology and Legal staffs to coordinate civil and criminal product safety investigations nationwide. He was also responsible for the CPSC’s marketplace surveillance activities, which included monitoring importers, retailers and distributors to ensure that consumer products being offered for sale met U.S. safety standards and did not otherwise pose an unreasonable risk of serious injury or death to the public.

As a recognized consumer product safety compliance subject matter expert, Dennis is a frequent trainer and speaker throughout the U.S. and internationally, addressing a wide variety of consumer product safety compliance and enforcement topics. Dennis provides a practical window to consumer product safety regulations, reporting requirements and CPSC activities presented in a logical and relevant format.
Dennis is responsible for program development, facilitation and coordination of several “Product Safety Management” certificate courses held in partnership with the Richard A. Chaifetz School of Business “Center for Supply Chain Management Studies” at St. Louis University.
Dennis Blasius is also a sought-after executive, leadership and workplace development “International Coach Federation (ICF)” PCC level certified coach. Dennis provides career, executive and leadership coaching services to Federal, State and Local government employees as well as managers and employees throughout private industry, both in the U.S. and globally.
